In the summer of 2016 I was honoured to be the lead facilitator and instructor for the Earthline Tattoo Training Residency, a project which taught four Indigenous artists all of the health related knowledge associated with tattooing and the methods of hand poke and skin stitch.
This year we have invited three participants and are inviting applications to fill the remaining three spaces in the program. The residency this year will be running from July 3rd to 28th, 2017. The participants are expected to be at the program the whole time with weekends off.
We are hoping to continue to grow this opportunity every year, and we are hoping to include six participants for this years month long residency in Kelowna British Columbia. This workshop is supported by the Indigenous summer Intensive put on by the Creative Studies department of the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. This year I will be joined by Amy Malbeuf and Jordan Bennett as facilitators and instructors, which allows for a good ratio of students to instructors. We will be again inviting between two to three guest mentors to join us at some point in the project to share their knowledge and work with the students.
This project is being planned, and lead by the members of the Earthline Tattoo Collective, Amy Malbeuf, Jordan Bennett and myself. The application is live at our new website:

Please stay tuned as we only have half of the funds raised for this years residency and will be putting out a gofundme campaign and asking for donations to a auction to help raise funds for this project.
