I am so excited to announce the 2017 Earthline Tattoo Training Residency dates, participants, guest mentors and assistant instructors/facilitators.
This Years Participants
This year’s residency will be held from July 3rd to July 28th at the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus, once again we are so happy to have the support of the University of British Columbia Okanagan’s Indigenous Summer Intensive and their support from Aboriginal Arts at the Canada Council of the Arts. We have had an amazing amount of support from many folks through out Gofundme campaign.
We had an overwhelming amount of applications for this years Indigenous Tattoo School and are excited at the growth from last years pilot project. We would like to thank all of the applicants for this years Tattoo school! We received so many applications the decision was not easy! We encourage everyone who applied to apply again next year, spread the word as we move tattoo school to different territories each year!!
Congrats to this years participants!! Jerry Evans

I am excited to have two of last years tattoo school participants return as assistant instructors/facilitators, Jordan Bennett and Amy Malbeuf.
Jordan and Amy have been part of the planning and implementation of the Earthline Tattoo Training Residency every since the begin. It is hard to believe it was over two years ago that we sat down together and began planning, strategizing and dreaming about a project like The Earthline Tattoo Training Residency. As that dream began to build the three of us founded the Earthline Tattoo Collective, and I am honoured to have them by my side this year as facilitators and instructors.
We will also have our good friend and colleague Nahaan returning as a one of this years guest mentors in the third week of the tattoo school. Nahaan will be joined by the two other participants from last year Dean Hunt and Jeneen Frei Njootli.
The Earthline Tattoo Collective is honoured to announce an addition to last years programing with the invitation of Pip Hartley as our International guest mentor. Pip Hartley is a prominent Maori moko artist from Aotearoa (New Zealand) where she owns and operates her tattoo shop Karanga Ink.
Stay tuned for more information as we move closer to this years tattoo school.
I will be announcing later today our exciting new fundraising initiative as we are still in need of funds to make this years Earthline Tattoo Training Residency as amazing as we would like it to be.
This initiative involves your donations to our Gofundme campaign page equalling entry into a raffle on some art from Jordan Bennett, Dean Hunt, Jerry Evans, Megan Musseau and Dion Kaszas!!
We will happily take your art donations to be a part of this raffle of art by our talented artist friends!!
